About me

Hi, I’m Wanda, the founder and head instructor of WA Krav Maga.

My journey with Krav Maga began in France in 2013, where I first train Krav Maga with the French Foreign Legion. I have discovered a system that was simple, effective, and life-changing. Around that time, I was also serving as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic. That experience shaped my understanding of resilience, discipline, and the importance of being prepared—both physically and mentally.

Since then, Krav Maga has taken me around the world. I’ve trained in Costa Rica, Mexico, and now Australia, learning from instructors in different cultures and environments. Each place gave me new perspectives and reinforced one of Krav Maga’s greatest strengths: its adaptability. No matter where you are in the world, the principles remain the same—simple, effective self-defense that anyone can learn.

For me, Krav Maga is more than just a passion. As a survivor, it has been a source of empowerment and healing. It gave me the tools to feel safe, confident, and in control of my life. That’s why I teach today: to pass on those same tools to others, especially women, or vulnerable people, so they too can feel stronger, safer, and more capable in their everyday lives.

At WA Krav Maga, my mission is simple: create a welcoming, ego-free space where everyone—regardless of experience, fitness level, or background—can train, grow, and find empowerment through self-defense.
